Colt and Jason are a couple of our newest members. Last weekend their cycling team won the 24 hour race here in town. We’re really excited to see how much stronger of cyclists CrossFit makes them.

Warmup

Team W.O.D.
3 Rounds for time of:
40 Pushups
50 Dumbbell Swings 70/45#
60 Knees to Elbows
Run 400 meters

Almost one week down in the diet challenge. People are really committing to this way of life and it really is amazing to see some of the things that are happening. Mary Haring had probably her best W.O.D since she has started and I know it is directly related to her diet. It isn’t only physiological changes that I see taking place though. I see attitudes change motivation increase. And most importantly if people stick to it they will be greatly reducing their risk of serious chronic illnesses and diseases in the future.

Also I just want to re-emphasize how much better my body feels every day when I really commit to taking my fish oil. If you all haven’t got some I definitely recommend it. I am constantly hearing about how sore every one is. Kyle and I will tell you from experience the difference you feel from those pills. If anyone else is taking fish oil and have had similar experiences, share them with us in the comments.

I’m not even doing the diet challenge and I can attest to how much what you eat REALLY matters! I used to eat like sugar and starch was required for survival so when I decided to cut back, it was like asking for a kidney. However, I am grateful I have given it a chance because I feel it mid workout! Those weeks that I have no will power and just eat whatever is in front of me, I suffer during the work outs. Recently, though, I’ve tried to be good and I’ve felt a lot more stamina during my workouts. Not only do I feel better physically, but my attitude is better too! I don’t hear myself whining as much! Ahah! Thanks Kade, and all you brave souls who are committed to the diet challenge, for being good examples!
